Recipesupermart was an idea born out of necessity rather than putting up another website dedicated to recipes in the overcrowded web space, it was thought about from the need to connect the recipes, to the source from where the ingredients were purchased from.

There is a chef hidden among all of us and with access to thousands of recipes available on the web, we love to experiment when we have spare time on our hands, but when it comes to locating or purchasing the recipes ingredients, we either ask our friends around or do own research on the internet, which can be quite cumbersome at times and sometimes futile, thus many times a good recipe is dropped altogether by us.

Recipesupermart makes the job of connecting your recipe to the ingredients and finally the location of the supermarket a very easy affair. In some cities newly arrived Expatriates have a problem in locating specific Supermarkets which sell a certain ingredient used for their cooking. For e.g. a Japanese Expatriate can just look up a specific Japanese recipe with the link, address and the telephone number located at the bottom of the page and Google Maps, which take him or her to the source, ,moreover a person can upload his/her  favourite recipe and inform the others about the location of the Japanese superstore from where they had purchased the ingredients from. Hence in a city like Singapore, the directions to Liang Court are easy, fast and all the ingredients in cooking Japanese cuisine are found there under one roof.

At Recipesupermart, we have tried to bridge that gap by taking you, to the source of the ingredients by just a few clicks of the mouse and also encouraging you to share your cooking skills, posting anything interesting that you have seen in the “Just Added” section. It could be a jar of honey which you had been searching for or a curry powder that was sitting on a shelf, waiting to be added to your secret recipe list. All you need to do is to use your mobile phone, take a picture and post it on the website, so that everyone can share your “find”.

Please do take the time to read our “Latest Blogs” with a dash of humour, the, “Tips and Tricks” section, where some very useful cooking tips are shared with you to make your cooking easier. The “Help Videos” section shows in detail how to post, or edit your recipes in as simple manner as possible, The Forum section encourages you to share with us topics of general interest and you are most welcome to post your ideas and comments there.

We would like you make Recipesupermart, a vital part of your life by posting  your secret,home-made  or mothers recipes and  very importantly share with us the location of the supermarkets from where you had purchased the ingredients from, which would benefit the food lovers fraternity, all from the comfort of your home .

We promise to keep this website family friendly and would appreciate your support in making it a resounding success ,we  greatly appreciate your contributions and suggestions.

The point of submitting recipes to sites like this is to show off your creativity and love for food. If your photo or recipe isn’t appetizing, it will not prompt  many people to come and check out the whole post, so posting it here won’t do either of us any good.

PS: Posting your recipe will take approximately 5 minutes or less, our advice is to keep your five pictures and the content ready beforehand to make the posting in a jiffy, in the SUBMIT A RECIPE PAGE.
